There was a once upon a time where the word 'cafe' and 'brunch' would send shivers down my spine. After constant disappointments of over-hyped joints with the delivery of nothing but poor execution for a sub-par plate of food, I decided to bid farewell to paying $25 a pop for a watered down cup of coffee and underwhelming meal. Whilst casual dining restaurants may have none of the pretty 'instagram-worthy' plates of food, it definitely delivered with flavours. It didn't try too hard, and pushed barriers in a manner of curiosity. Well thought food - that is what I strive to find, and unfortunately that was not the case with cafes.
